In 1895, in La Ciotat, the Lumière brothers showed the world a train pulling into a station, and an art form was born. On October 2 and 3, 2026, the city where cinema first flickered to life welcomed the first SHAIKE Film Festival.
Panels, keynotes, screenings, demos, kid's workshop, live creation, during 2 days, the city hosted the world of creativity.
Almost 500 films from 40 countries entered one competition, judged by one standard: vision. Some were shot on film, some were generated, and most were made with both. Nobody asked how a film was made before asking whether it moved them.
On October 3rd, 100 world class filmmakers from 30+ countries gathered in La Ciotat to collaborate on a tribute to cinema. With the creative help of Dreamina, each directed live their own love letter to cinema.
